Music Quiz Answers

And now the answers to my latest Music Quiz! Not a lot of particpants in this one, so a big thank you to those of you who did join in. But that left a lot of unanswered lyrics. Frowny face! Well, here are all the answers (and the names of those who got them right). And hopefully I can narrow this list down to make a nice mix CD for my sister's kids to enjoy.

Music Quiz

I need to post something, but I can't get inspired to create an actual thought-out entry. So instead, here's a music quiz.

I'm making my sister a mix CD that she can play for her kids, since they (especially The Cutest Niece In The World) really love the last one I made for them. I've got a couple dozen songs I'm trying to choose between -- mostly bouncy and cheerful, some just because they're pretty; silly words are a plus. I'm listing a random lyric from each song below. You guess the title of the song and the artist. Winner gets to cheat on their New Year's resolutions with impunity.

Awesome Comics A to Z: The Answers

I'm posting this answer key a little earlier than I thought I would, since you smart readers of this blog have already nailed all 26 letters in my Awesome Comics A to Z quiz. Well played!

Nobody took the email challenge and tried to name 20 or more comics, but I appreciate that you limited your individual responses in the comments in order to let as many people as possible play along before the quiz was entirely solved. Maybe I'll do this again and only take email answers, to make a real contest out of it! Then again, maybe not. I'm fickle.

EDIT: Two people emailed me after I set this entry up to auto-post. So kudos to Jeff Kulisek, who got 17 correct, and Satyajit C, who got a very impressive 20 correct! Both of those scores are probably better than I would've done if I hadn't designed the quiz myself!

Oh, and looking backward for a moment, when I gave you the answers to the Awesome Movies A to Z quiz, you were clear on the fact that you could click on the letters to see the original movie posters, right? I didn't give you the answers to L and S, since nobody had guessed them, but if you clicked on the L and S in the answer key, you'd have seen the posters for Lawrence of Arabia and Sunset Boulevard. Just wanted to make sure that loose end was tied up for everybody.

Awesome Comics A to Z: The Quiz

As promised last week, here is a new quiz for you. The first letters of 26 comic book logos, from A through Z, are displayed below. You guess which comic each letter comes from. And fun is had by all!

PLEASE NOTE: I don't doubt that there are many among you for whom this quiz is a total slamdunk. So I ask that you limit your guesses in the comments to FIVE TITLES ONLY, to give others a chance to play along.
